Path Ministries International was founded and is directed by Pastor Bob and Carol Higgins. Path Ministries stands for the Path Africa Takes to Health.
The primary focus of Path Ministries is spiritual health. This is accomplished through the training of church leaders using the International School of Ministry video curriculum.
Intellectual health is addressed through adult education, community health education and vocational training.
Path Ministries addresses physical health needs through spring improvement for clean water, agriculture, reforestation, a very aggressive mobile medical clinic to refugee and IDP (Internally Displaced People) camps in the rebel ravaged Northern Uganda.
Otino-Waa Children's Village (the village of our children) addresses the need of widow/orphan care, and is located in Northern Uganda in East Africa. The 82 Children range in age from 5-16. These children have lost their parents to rebel activity, war and AIDS. The immediate needs of the children are food, clothes, school fees and school supplies. In 2003, the children were moved to their new homes at Otino-Waa Children's Village. In each of the 10 new homes are 8 or 9 children and they are mothered by a widow lady. In 2004 the goals are to finish the administration building which will include a medical clinic for the children and mothers. The first school block will be started by August and hopefully occupied in January 2005.
Progress in every area depends on the generosity of empathic Americans. For more picutures and information, please go to our website at www.pathministries.net.
