Dr. Donald Shorter Sr. is the pastor and founder of Pacific Christian Center Church, a vibrant, growing, nondenominational church with locations in Tacoma, Wash., and Portland, Ore. Dr. Shorter founded Pacific Christian Center Church in January 1987 with four family members after leaving a successful secular television broadcasting career as a host on the ABC network affiliate in Seattle. Construction on the new state-of-the-art worship center was completed in August 2002.
Today, Dr. Shorter and his wife, Kathy, minister the word of hope to thousands each week through speaking engagements, worldwide radio and television teaching broadcasts, business seminars, and through Pacific Christian Center Church's regular services. Their ministry has touched many segments of society through faith-based outreaches such as Real Dads in America, Kathi's Kids Outreach, Excellence in Business, Men of Excellence, and Women of Wealth. The Shorters are best known for practical, powerful, straightforward teaching that causes lifestyles to be miraculously changed through the ministry of the Word of God. They have produced books and numerous tapes from seminars and other teaching engagements across America and around the world.
The Pacific Christian Center Church Vision:
The main purpose of this church is to teach the Word of God in a practical and uncompromising way, and to teach the body of Christ how to live a successful lifestyle according to the Word of God by biblical instruction and example through Jesus Christ.
My God-given vision is to instill excellence and integrity through biblical principles into the lives of born-again, Spirit-filled believers, and to display excellence and maturity in every area of this ministry.
We shall endeavor to do this by our teachings, schools, outreaches, television, and many other areas of ministry.
All of us together will achieve this vision by our example of hope to our communities and the world. Now is the time for us to seize the opportunity of this growing ministry by meeting the needs of the people that God sends us daily.
