About the Pastor:
Hi, friends. My name is James E. Price, and I'm the pastor of Long Beach Christian Center. Prior to founding LBCC, I served as assistant pastor under Dr. Frederick K.C. Price at Crenshaw Christian Center for 21 years. Even before that, I served in the United States armed services during the Vietnam era. After my discharge, I attended Compton College and graduated from Pepperdine University in 1973, where I received a bachelor of arts degree in Bible. I have ministered as a Bible teacher in many places in Southern California. For two and a half years, I pastored a church called Now Faith Fellowship in the city of Montebello. My wife Dolly and I have been married 34 years, and we have three grown boys (James III, Michael, and Robert) and one teenage daughter (Connie Marie).
I founded James E. Price Ministries in 1983, and the Lord had been dealing with me to start a ministry in the city of Long Beach, California, since 1987. On Monday, July 12, 1999, we held our first Bible study at the Long Beach Marriott Hotel. In January 2002, we held our first 10 a.m. worship service as Long Beach Christian Center, and we have been growing ever since.
