About Our Church:

Faith Chapel Church is a Interdenominational, purpose driven, cell church. Boy, is that a mouth full or what? But what does it mean? By "Interdenominational" we mean we have people in our church from all kinds of church and non-church backgrounds from Catholic to Protestant. "Purpose driven" means that everything and the only things we do have to fit in with our stated purpose of Making Disciples. That keeps us focused and decision making becomes much easier. What in the world is a "Cell Church?" Webster's dictionary says in part that a cell is ..."the least structural unit of living matter capable of functioning independently." One of the fastest grown elements in many churches today is the "Small Group" concept. However, for many churches, small groups are just another program added to an already long list of programs. Consequently, those churches are refered to as "Program Driven Churches." On the other hand, a "Cell Church" has few, if any programs. Almost all the total ministry of the church is accomplished through "cells" or "small groups." Our "small groups" are called, "LifeNet Groups." In our LifeNet Groups, fellowship, training, learning, ministry, etc takes place. We invite you to become a part of our type of church.

About Our Pastor:

Ronald G. Yohe (pronounced "yo") was born and raised in Rockford, IL. His father, Howard M. Yohe, Grandfather (mother's side) O. L. After receiving an honorable discharge in February, 1965 he married Jan in Lincoln, NB at the First Assembly of God church, Pastor S.K. Biffle officiated. (Note: 23 inches of snow on the ground). Ron and Jan have a son, Jeff, who was not only born in Rockford, like his dad, he was also born in the same hospital - Swedish American Hospital.

Jeff lives with his wife Karen, and their two sons, Tanner and Weston, in Sycamore, IL. He works for Old World Millworks and is Praise and Worship leader in Faith Assembly of God, Elburn, IL. Ron has started or helped start five churches and obviously has a strong interest in "church planting."

Pastor Yohe is dedicating the rest of his life to three major areas:
1. Discipleship - making sure people are really Christians, then training them to make disciples.
